A PHOTOGRAPH YOU LIKEThis photograph I took on a holiday trip we did with my husband to Towers of the Paine Park, in the summer of 2018. We were going down the road from Port Natales when suddenly on a curve we see this wonderful landscape with this family of guanacos. It was a bright day in the morning and some clouds.
I like this image very much because it has wonderful colors and contrasts the greenish yellow grass with the gray blue of the sky.
The truth was that it was a hit because these animals do not let themselves be photographed. They are very fast and can reach 56 km per hour; when they feel a vehicle they escape at full speed.
The guanacos are elegant, slender, long legs, long neck and small head. They are between 1 1.2 meters tall and weigh about 90 kilos. The color of their fur is an advantage, as they are camouflaged with the landscape.
They live from northern Peru to southern Chile.
I love guanaco, their faces are very cute!!
