Site I like to visit

In this link you can find the site that I frequently visit. https://historia-arte.com/movimientos It is an art history site and has a lot of material to see as: artistic movements, biographies, works, articles, interviews, artistic techniques from painting, sculpture, photography, digital image etc. The page is very didactic, the images have good resolution and that helps when downloading them;  I recommend it to my fellow artists are going to learn a lot.

How good this site has that is easy to find, I use it frequently for the research jobs I have had to do for college and also for personal interest once or twice a week. .

One day looking for information about the Renaissance I found it by chance and it was great, there was what I needed.  I like it a lot because it is easy to read and gives me the guidance for other texts that are more complicated. And it's not designed only for students or teachers in the arts area like other sites, it's for everyone who really has an interest in art knowledge.  It's wonderful to visit her!!!

QUARANTINE

Quarantine

An quarantine by epidemic I never imagined. At first it was strange because I enjoyed the loneliness of my house doing a lot of things.  But time was passing and I went in distress because it has been many months that I am away from my family, they come to see me once a month and fill me with joy.

In winter I spend a lot of time in my bedroom, long hours reading, painting, listening to music and watching TV. Also another place I like is the kitchen because it is always warm, it has good fragrances for the meals that are prepared there and place where we meet as a family when we are all at home.

In times of pandemic I recommend reading, listening to music, watching movies, cooking and working in the garden which is my other passion.

The first thing I'll do when the pandemic is over is to reunite my whole family, my husband my children, my mother, my brothers, uncles and nephews to enjoy a rich lunch, with good music. And also spend the rest of the afternoon chatting, playing guitar and counting anecdotes.

A PHOTOGRAPH YOU LIKE

A PHOTOGRAPH YOU LIKE

This photograph I took on a holiday trip we did with my husband to Towers of the  Paine Park, in the summer of 2018. We were going down the road from Port Natales when suddenly on a curve we see this wonderful landscape with this family of guanacos. It was a bright day in the morning and some clouds.

I like this image very much because it has wonderful colors and contrasts the greenish yellow grass with the gray blue of the sky.

The truth was that it was a hit because these animals do not let themselves be photographed. They are very fast and can reach 56 km per hour; when they feel a vehicle they escape at full speed.

The guanacos are elegant, slender, long legs, long neck and small head. They are between 1 1.2 meters tall and weigh about 90 kilos. The color of their fur is an advantage, as they are camouflaged with the landscape.

They live from northern Peru to southern Chile.

MY FAVORITE PIECE OF TECHNOLOGY

Hi

My PC, I have had it since 2017, I was given it for a birthday because I used to use a console that was very good but I was not as comfortable as the one I have now. It's good-sized and light and I take it everywhere when I need it.

He's my faithful partner, I have files from my photos and travel videos that I've taken with my family and sometimes we see them to remember the happy moments we've spent together.

I also use it to listen to music when I start to paint long hours in the solitude of my house. I connect it to a speaker who amplifies the sound and sounds wonderful.

I think it would be impossible to live without it, it has become a very important tool for me, I use it usually every day to work on university issues, read my emails and news of the world when I have connection. And what I like most about him is that I was able to install applications and programs that make it easier.

Why did you choose this career / study programme

When I was small girl  wanted to be dentist because had a very nice aunt who had that  profession I wanted to imitate him. But with the time that  idea was lost when my mother took me to this office to review my teeth and not I didn´t want to know more about that  profession.

At the moment of decide what study, apply to the following professions as  commercial engineering, auditor accountant in Valparaiso and public administration in Santiago, I preferred this for  proximity house.

I spent many years drawing and painting being self taught and learning in the doing. But I felt what something was missing in my life and I wanted to go back to university. I received a lot of support of my family when I told them I wanted study arts. My two sons they are big and they are professionals, and they rejoiced with this decision. Currently I study Plastic Arts at University of Chile y I go in third year.

Always I have had a lot of passion for every thing I like and work hard on it. Study something so different to the previous race has been a experience fascinating because I feel fulfilled and I´m sorry I didn´t before.
I have plans to continue with learning once that finish the undergraduate  and  make a post degree for complement my studys.
I will work  in a collective with other artists for bring people closer to this medium that is so special with temporary and permanent exhibitions.
